We are proud to state another milestone for American Katerra LLC (AKL): our President, Toyokazu Yamaguchi, has been granted an E-2 Treaty Investor Visa by the U.S. government. This visa, issued on December 29, 2025, represents a significant milestone in our ongoing journey to grow and innovate in the U.S.
Empowering Leadership and Strategic Focus
As a seasoned global business development professional with deep experience in operational strategy, Yamaguchi’s recent visa status allows him to take a more active role in facilitating AKL’s work from our U.S. office environment. The E-2 Visa is the right visa for treaty countries looking to invest to develop, and direct ventures in the United States; a mission that is also in line with our company’s own.
Driving Innovation in the U.S. Market
In recognition of Yamaguchi’s commitment, AKL is also able to make its best efforts in the U.S., through progressive application of technology in construction, including steel fabrications, sustainable building practices, and supply chain optimization. This visa enables Yamaguchi to reside in Texas, allowing him to live, work, and focus on Texas-based business opportunities.
Strengthening Regional Presence
We hope to grow our regional presence further in this new marketplace and intensify relations with partners and clients, while we develop local solutions for the dynamic Texas market in which we are working. AKL is set for much greater activity now and across multiple fronts.
Accelerating Projects and Partnerships
You will anticipate speedy projects to be executed on multiple fronts. Faster project rollouts, more partnerships with U.S. firms originating locally, and to see even greater technology investments on innovative, new technologies that address key industry challenges. Our team is fully committed and confident to build on our past and create value for customers, investors, and the local market.
A Message from President Yamaguchi
Yamaguchi added: “This visa is more than a personal accomplishment—it’s a catalyst for AKL’s next phase of growth. I’m excited to deepen our roots in the U.S., particularly in Texas, and collaborate with talented teams to push the boundaries of what’s possible in our sector.”
