American Katerra is a structural steel fabricator built around precise steel detailing, delivering steel from the model to the field for projects across the United States. Everything starts in the model, where our detailers turn your design into fabrication-ready structural steel, cut and welded to the AWS D1.1 structural code and delivered ready to erect. For teams with sustainability targets, we pair that with lower-carbon Green Steel and embodied-carbon data you can report against, and we build reliable capacity through robotic welding systems. Around the core, our services extend from steel detailing and BIM into life cycle assessment, supply chain management, and robotic fabrication, so design, manufacturing, and logistics stay connected. Structural Steel Fabrication

Our lower-carbon structural steel for ESG-driven projects. Same standards as the rest of our work, with embodied-carbon documentation you can report against. The commercial form of our Green Carbon Steel™ concept.
Embodied-Carbon Data
The numbers behind your steel. We quantify embodied carbon and document it for LEED, client requirements, or your own reporting. Drawn from the same model we build from, so claims are backed by evidence.
Robotic Systems
Automated welding equipment for shops building their own line. Articulated welding robots and robotic cells that raise throughput, stabilize quality, and offset the skilled-welder shortage. The same technology we run in-house.

Steel Detailing & Building Information Modeling (BIM)
The digital backbone of every project. Our detailers model your steel in Tekla, producing shop and erection drawings and a coordinated model that drives fabrication. Built to ISO 19650. Usually, the first thing we do.
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)
Measuring the carbon in your project. We run life cycle assessment on your steel scope and produce embodied-carbon documentation, including EPD data where required, for green building credits and ESG reporting.
Supply Chain Management (SCM)
Keeping material and schedule aligned. We manage your steel supply chain, coordinating sourcing, procurement, and logistics so the right material arrives in the right sequence. Backed by our parent’s manufacturing network.
Physical AI-Robotics
We weld your model on demand. Our Physical AI-Robotics service feeds the BIM model straight to the cell for consistent, high-quality welds at speed. Robotic precision applied to your project, not sold as equipment.
