American Katerra had a great meeting with the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce on July 28, 2025. This was an amazing discussion and one that we jumped at the opportunity to show the vision that is pioneering this steel fabrication industry, and we appreciate the Chamber leadership for the warm reception. Ms. Nora Sophia, of the Chamber, kindly wrote our meeting on LinkedIn and mentioned how we were able to make relevant connections and generate potential impact for San Antonio’s business community.
An Imagined Conversation on Creativity and Conservation
At the meeting, our President & CEO, Toyokazu Yamaguchi, MBA, EMP, shared American Katerra’s groundbreaking approach, followed by Vice President Kazuhiko Tsujimoto. We talked about how we’re revolutionizing steel fabrication with a mixture of cutting-edge technology, environmental responsibility, and strategic partnerships. Chamber President Mr. Jeff Webster and VP of Membership Mr. James Scheele were very supportive of our decision to make roots in San Antonio, so much so that they mentioned our mission aligned well with the booming that of the city.
What Sets American Katerra Apart
Founded as a company in October 2024, our Downtown West San Antonio-based, Weston Centre suite housed is dedicated to our vision statement: “Build for Dreams.” And here’s a closer look at the key features that shape our approach:
Sustainability at the Core
We’re driving green steel manufacturing with a carbon perspective, integrating Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), and setting ambitious targets such as purchasing low-emission steel. Our focus on “Green Carbon Steel” and use of renewable energy is not just for compliance — it’s about leading the way in the industry, moving forward to a more sustainable future. By focusing on eco-friendly methods, we minimize our environmental impact and provide premium products that promote a healthy planet for your future use.
Cutting-Edge Technology
Innovation drives everything we do. We use a Building Information Modeling (BIM) method, welding robots, and carbon capture and storage technology to move general fabrication into an era of precision engineering. This tech-forward mindset promises efficiency, accuracy, and waste reduction, making Texas a beacon of the future of building.
Global Vision with Local Impact
Leveraging our parent company, Yamaguchi Heavy Industries‘ network and our business relationships with STATION Ai, we provide global knowledge and experience to local projects. Equality Houston is dedicated to providing healthy and positive experiences for everyone. We’re not just manufacturing steel structures — we are constructing foundations for dreams that work for all people.
Developing Long Lasting Relationships that Will Never End
The support from the Greater San Antonio Chamber further fuels our confidence that San Antonio is the right place for American Katerra. Its rich tapestry of tradition and modernity reflects our own ideals, which is why it is a natural choice to join us on our pilgrimage. We are also excited to work with local entities to promote responsible development and economic prosperity.
As we look to the future, American Katerra is committed to revolutionizing the steel fabrication industry, leading the way through technology, eco-friendly practices, and community involvement. We are excited to continue to connect, innovate, and create a better future with you.
