2. Project Development and Support
- Collaborate with engineers and multidisciplinary teams (legal, finance, and operations) to ensure designs align with broader business objectives.
- Assist in confirming that all documentation adheres to project standards and building codes (IBC, AISC, ACI).
- Optimize designs for maximum fabrication efficiency and ease of assembly.
3. Sustainability Integration
- Document structural material specifications and usage metrics to support the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) process.
- Work closely with the team to implement innovative, low-carbon materials like Green Carbon Steel™ to meet company GHG reduction targets.
- Evaluate the environmental impact of detailing choices to minimize the project’s carbon footprint.
4. Cost Estimation Support
- Execute precise quantity take-offs directly from BIM models to assist in the formulation of cost estimates.
- Identify opportunities for cost-effectiveness in design without compromising safety or structural integrity.
